Kaplan Wilton Manors LLC has purchased several individual properties located in Wilton Manors with plans to redeveloped all of the parcels into one, mixed use market rate apartment community.
The site is bordered by NE 24th Street to the south, NE 13th Avenue to the east, an existing commercial property to the north and the FEC Railway to the west.
The property, also known, in part, as The Yard, is currently home to several businesses. The Alchemist Cafe, La Mexicana Taco Bar, Horton Jones Electrical Contractors, Eucalyptus Gardens, Wild Elements, an Indoor bazaar space and Zen Orchids and Tropicals all operate out of The Yard. The site is also home to a memorial to the victims of the Parkland School Shooting. Kaplan plans to incorporate the memorial into the new development.
Generations at Wilton Manors
The project would consist of one, six story mixed use building containing 190 market rate rental apartments along with 5,972 square feet of commercial use. This would include a two (2) story 3,948 square foot free standing building.
The project known as “Generations at Wilton Manors” will be an upscale market rate community. The complex will have studio, one, two and three bedroom units in an elevator serviced building with a wrap around structured parking garage containing 300 parking spaces and community amenities.
Project Will Have Modern Amenities
The property will have a modern clubhouse that will include a clubroom, leasing office, fitness and yoga studio and co-working space. Outdoor amenities will include a swimming pool, ample green space, pocket parks and pickleball courts.
At the meeting on May 8th in City Hall’s Commission Chambers, the Wilton Manors Planning and Zoning Board addressed the proposed rezoning. The Development Review Committee recommended approval of the rezoning, subject to specific conditions outlined on the City of Wilton Manors official website.
