Around 3:46 a.m. a call came into to Broward County Regional reporting a collision at the 200 block of East Oakland Park Boulevard in the City of Oakland Park. The crash occurred in the vicinity of Oakland Coffee and Juice Bar. Both BSO and Oakland Park Fire Rescue arrived on the scene to help the persons involved in the crash.
Three vehicles were involved in the crash. One of the vehicles, a white four door sedan, hit a telephone pole. The driver, an adult male, was pronounced deceased. At this time no other injuries have been reported.
BSO Traffic Homicide detectives are investigating the events that led to the fatal collision. At the time of this report, the westbound lane along Oakland Park Boulevard remained closed. There was only one lane open for eastbound traffic. Drivers are advised to proceed to other routes until further notice.
