On Saturday November 21 at around 6:18pm Broward County Regional Communications answered a call in which the caller reported an accident at 1300 E. Oakland Park Blvd in Oakland Park.
The accident involved a 2003 Toyota Corolla, driven by 31 year old Joseph Laura IV of Oakland Park and a 2017 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle, driven by 71 year old Adrian Peschl of Fort Lauderdale.
Laura was making a left turn onto NE 13th Avenue when Peschl, who was traveling eastbound, hit the passenger side of the Toyota. The collision was so sever that part of Peschl’s motorcycle ended up in Laura’s car.
Oakland Park Fire Rescue transported Laura and Peschl to Broward Health Medical Center. Upon arrival Peschl was pronounced dead. It is unclear whether or not Peschl was wearing a helmet. Laura is in stable, but critical condition.

BSO detectives continue to investigate the incident.
