Man Fatally Shot in Oakland Park, BSO Looking For Shooter

Broward County Regional Communications Center receive a call at approximately 3:23 a.m. this morning regarding a shooting in Oakland Park. When Sheriff’s Deputies arrived they found two shooting victims. Both victims were in a white Nissan that had multiple visible gunshots on the driver side door. The driver, Horaldo N. Martin, 26 years old, a resident of Lauderdale Lakes lay dead.  The passenger, a woman whose name has not yet been released, was shot but had not died from the gunshots.  Oakland Park Fire Rescue transported the passenger to the hospital where she is expected to recover.

BSO Looking for Information

As far as investigators can tell Martin was headed in an eastward direction on NW 44th Street when another car approached him and opened fire at least six times. Martin’s car came to a halt at the 3100 block of NW 44th Street in Oakland Park which is where detectives responded to the scene. The motive for the shooting has yet to be determined.
