Recently Oakland Parkers were saddened to learn that a local favorite, Switchbox Coffee Roasters was closing its doors. To compound the community’s dismay at this news, about a month later, Lucky’s announced it too was closing its doors. But as Oakland Park loses two local favorites there are many other businesses in the works to replace them. Both will be missed, but perhaps these new businesses will help Oakland Parkers look toward the future and all the promise it holds as our City continues to grow and evolve.
