The property is located at 670 East Oakland Park Boulevard
What is being proposed?
A mixed-use development consisting of residences and commercial spaces.
Why is the request being made?
Section 24-163(E) requires a Neighborhood Participation Meeting to be held before submittal of an application.
What is the process for the request?
After the applicant holds the required Neighborhood Participation meeting(s), a site plan application will be reviewed by the Development Review Committee (DRC). The DRC will review the plan for compliance with the applicable Codes. After the initial DRC meeting (to be scheduled at a later date), comments provided by the DRC must be addressed adequately; a resubmittal may be necessary. After the DRC hearing, the applicant’s request will be heard by the Planning and Zoning Board, and subsequently the City Commission for a consideration.
Note: At the time of Neighborhood Participation stage in the process, staff has had conversations with the applicant, but until such time that a formal application and review are conducted, it is difficult to ascertain the approvals that may or may not be required as the application is processed.
