Altercation Leads to Threats

In the early morning of June 6 at around 1:49 am a man was shot as the result of an altercation that occurred in front of the 7-11 off of Andrews and 38th St in Oakland Park.

BSO released a video today that shows the sequence of events that led to the shooting. The video shows the two men arguing outside the 7-11. At one point the shooter takes at a machete from inside his pants, brandishes the weapon, taps it on the ground, and then gets up. After he gets up you can see he is saying something to the man on the bike. Then the video shows another moment with the man taking out his weapon a second time and walking in front of the man on the bike. The man on the bike takes out what appears from his jacket what appears to be a weapon when the man with the machete walks in front of him. The two men exchange words.
