The Wilton Bazaar Weeknight Market is Coming to Wilton Manors

Interested in a fun weeknight activity? Check out the Wilton Bazaar weeknight market! This new Wilton Manors venture will start on Thursday, December 9th, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and will continue throughout the year. The bazaar is a free, pet friendly event located in the City Hall parking lot at 2020 Wilton Drive.

The choice of a weeknight to hold such event has a logical or better yet, logistical reason behind it, according to James LaMorte, The Wilton Bazaar organizer.  LaMorte shares that traffic is one of those reasons: “Due to the lower traffic hours during the week, the Wilton Bazaar is easier to access than if it were held on the weekend”, he says.

Furthermore, the event will feature 20 booths displaying products from local small businesses, including candles, jewelry, skincare, clothing, and pet products.

The Bazaar Crowd

An event like The Wilton Bazaar allows families and communities to get together for some weeknight fun. The event will attract many members of the LGBTQ+ community, since Wilton Manors is the second largest LGBTQ+ community in America.

There is no restriction on who can attend the bazaar, so people of nearby cities like Fort Lauderdale and Oakland Park are welcome. Taking part in this event is a great way to meet new people, have fun, and support a new venture all at the same time!

Impact on the Community

There is no doubt that the Wilton Bazaar is an exciting event not only for businesses and nonprofit organizations, but for the entire community. For over a year, we have all been affected by COVID-19. Local events that brought us joy and farmers markets that used to be held every weekend were shut down, and local businesses and nonprofits were left with no other choice but to stop operating.

In addition, many of us were confined to our home offices and self-made classrooms to keep kids focused. After the obstacles we have all endured over the last year and a half, the Wilton Bazaar offers the perfect opportunity to reconnect with people and help support the community while having a bazaar blast.

Participating in the Bazaar fun!

Are you an owner of either a small or large business, or perhaps a non-profit organization? The bazaar is an excellent opportunity to promote businesses and products such as art, jewelry, candles, soaps, baked goods, and much more. The Wilton Bazaar also offers a great opportunity for non-profit organizations, including animal rescues, to demonstrate their hard work and showcase the animals in need of loving homes.

Interested vendors who want to take part in the new venture are required to pay a small vendor fee of $75 and can find more information regarding the wilton bazaar at www.theartisanmarket.company.

Don’t be shy, spread the word about the Wilton Bazaar to anyone you know who might be interested in taking part or attending this new local market.

Behind the Bazaar

The event organizer, James LaMorte, has been in business for over 30 years. He organized the majority of his events in the city that never sleeps, New York City.

In 2018, James moved to South Beach after being awarded a contract to host weekly events along Ocean Drive. COVID-19 was a significant obstacle to the success of the events. In October 2020, James began a weekly night market and a weekly farmers market in Coconut Grove, Miami, which is still held today.

After moving to Wilton Manors, James pitched the idea of running a weeknight market to the City Manager. The idea was embraced widely and is now a new venture known as the Wilton Bazaar.

There’s no doubt that you’ll have a blast at the Wilton bazaar, so tell your friends and bring your dogs and come enjoy this new local market!
