BSO Seeking The Public’s Help in Locating Missing Oakland Park Man

BSO’s Missing Persons Unit is searching for 23-year-old Jaytwan McNeal, missing from Oakland Park. Investigators are asking the public to report any sighting of the missing man in order to help locate him.

According to BSO investigators, McNeal was last seen around 4:15 p.m. on Monday, September 20, at his residence on 101 N.E. 41st St. McNeal is approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs around 140 pounds. He has the letters “KB” tattooed on the side of this neck. McNeal has dreadlocks but usually wears his hair pulled up in a head wrap.

Not The First Time He's Gone Missing

It’s not the first time McNeal makes the news for having gone missing. On September 7 of 2010, the news reported on that a 12 year old boy was missing in Lauderhill, it was McNeal. Police classified him as a “missing endangered juvenile”.  That day McNeal went missing when he stepped off of a bus at the Boys and Girls Club at around 3 p.m. to allegedly go meet his father, according to what he told the bus driver. A few hours later, that same day, they located McNeal.

History of Trouble

In 2017, a Boca Raton Police officer on patrol in the area of Strathmore saw a Toyota Camry driving slowly through the subdivision. The officer followed the vehicle. The driver sped off and crashed into the gate of Saint Andrew’s School. The four occupants fled the scene, including 19 year old Jaytwan McNeal.  He was later found hiding in an enclosed storage area in the fenced backyard of an occupied house.

Records of 2018 and 2020 also show Jaytwan has been accused of petit theft. More recently, in January, 2021, he was placed on probation for 6 months under the supervision of BSO Probation Division.

BSO Asks for Public's Help

Apart from the information that McNeal is missing, the circumstances that may have led to his disappearance are unknown at this time.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact BSO Missing Persons Detectives Elaine Seedig or Chris Blankenship at 954-321-4553 or the BSO non-emergency number at 954-764-4357.
