BSO Looking for Audacious Daytime Burglar In Oakland Park

On Thursday October 1, residents of the 4700 block of NE 1st Terrace went to work. Despite having ring cameras on the house, while the residents were away it was targeted by an audacious official looking burglar.

Daytime Burglar In Oakland Park

The crook parked across the street from the house in a red Dodge Nitro and cooly walked over to the house. He was wearing an orange safety vest and a face mask making it impossible to see his face. As the video shows, he knocked on the door and looked straight at the Ring video camera before heading in.

Resident Notices Items Missing

Soon after the thief emerged from the residence with a backpack and shopping back. When the resident of the home returned he noticed that his house had been rummaged through and that items were missing. After taking stock of what was taken the victim conveyed to BSO that the burglar had taken electronics, alcohol, clothing and a vehicle key from this home in East Oakland Park.

Detectives believe this may be connected to other home robberies in Oakland Park and are investigating any connection.

If you know who this burglar may be, contact Oakland Park Detective Michael Brooks at 954-202-3119. If you wish to remain anonymous, contact Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS (8477) or online at browardcrimestoppers.org.
