The Teen Alliance Project

The Teen Alliance Project in Oakland Park supports students and teachers.

The Teen Alliance Project is a non-profit organization founded by local Oakland Park resident Coby King. Its mission is to create relationships and programs in communities that lack resources in order to help teens achieve their dreams. Teen Alliance enable organizations to impact youth by providing opportunities that build character, civic engagement, personal awareness, and expands life experiences. We believe every youth regardless of their background, wants to be loved, can learn, deserves a second chance, and wants an opportunity to succeed.

Night of Student Stars, Friday May 10th

This Friday May 10th Teen Alliance and the students it supports will be hosting a talent show, “Night of Student Stars” by kids for kids. The purpose of the talent show is to raise funds for Teen Alliance projects in Oakland Park. The funds will be used to provide school supplies to teachers and help support projects in Oakland Park public schools.

“Night of Student Stars” will be a cultural art, satiric enlighten experience, which will feature local youth theater arts students, dance groups, musicians, and much more. This event will bring a unique ambiance of theater performance and culture expression. Our “Night of Student Stars” will provide a look into current events and cultural response with a family-friendly-fun approach.

Come out and join the efforts of Teen Alliance Project as we impact youth by providing opportunities that build character and contribute to a great cause.  Tickets will be sold at the door or in advance on Eventbrite.

Your support through your attendance at our youth talent showcase, will be greatly appreciated. If you are unable to attend you can support Teen Alliance by donating directly to the organization

About the Author

When Coby King was working for the Boys and Girls Club, he saw an enormous need for support and resources for African American boys growing up with single mother who lack the resources and time to ensure the success of their children by no fault of their own. The organization first started as a basketball team, then evolved over time to support youth ages 12 to 21 develop the life skills and tools need to transition into adulthood.
