Brightline in Oakland Park

In January 2018, All Aboard Florida, a privately owned company which owns and operates the Brightline trains began service along the Florida East Coast (FEC) Railway. For those of us who live in Oakland Park that meant the occasional stop on either side of Dixie Highway to let the high-speed Brightline pass through.
Virgin Takes Over

In November 2018 it was announced that Virgin Rail Group, owned by Sir Richard Branson, would be investing in Brightline. As a result, Brightline trains would be rebranded as Virgin Trains USA. The formal rebrand occurred on April 4, 2019.
No Virgin In Sight
Despite the recent rebranding, I have yet to spot a Virgin, train that is, passing through Oakland Park. According to the Orlando Sentinel Virgin trains will begin appearing on the tracks over the next year. So keep your eye out for a Virgin!
